 - Be mindful. Resting your heel on the leg of a chair, bumping against a metal pillar, footrest or scraping it on a curb can cause a scratch. Placing a heavy object on top of your shoes or dropping something on them can scratch the heel too. 

 - Keep the fabric from drying out. Store the shoe in an ambient temperature, dry and dark area. Cleanse with a super gentle soap and warm water. Let your shoe air dry (no forced heat) and condition the shoe every so often with your favorite fabric shoe protector.
